I cant deny that with the start of a new year, I along with other music-lovers am desperate to find new and upcoming artists to kick start 2016 and get my annual January playlist in place. Its Winter and in the North of Britain it is just rain, rain, rain – all I can focus on is the summer of festivals and sunshine ahead of us. And what is an essential part of this? Your 2016 favorite. Only a month into the new year, Blossoms are proving to be one to watch…and you’d surely be missing out if you didn’t.
Formed in Manchester in 2013, the five-piece band have just recieved one of the greatest commendations for new artists in the industry – Radio One’s Sound of List (see previous post). Not only is this a high praise in itself, but being a part of the Sound of 2016 list puts the band in an ideal position for the upcoming year. With the backing and belief from Radio One, the possibilities are endless, as I have no doubt they will fulfill.
Blossoms have been the support act for bands including The Courteeners and The Charlatans, but 2016 will be the year off a very popular headline tour. With many dates sold out in February of this year, there are few tickets remaining and this is not a tour you want to miss. ‘At Most A Kiss’ is available now and the debut album is planned for release this year.
Good Luck Blossoms – see you in Liverpool!
